Hello everyone, my name is Ritu Bohra. I just completed my post graduation in Jainology. To many of us, this may be common but it was a special day in my life when I received the degree certificate. You see I have the condition called cerebral palsy.
Now it has been an uphill task to even drink a glass of water without spilling it. That's what cerebral palsy is about, to start with. An independent life is a mere dream at this rate, right? No, wrong. though I have this issue, I set out from early on to prove that I can do it and do it in style than the usual. You see, in my dictionary, that nothing is impossible. I started my journey by joining a special school, as I needed some special support by those people who will be able to understand my needs and help me accordingly. My family is my pillar/s of strength and are of great support.
After my post graduate, now I am doing various activities, but later about that. By now, you must be thinking why am I writing this ? This is to share with you all that anything is possible if we set our thoughts to it. Nothing more. I am posting this because the children who need special support are, many times neglected, as their caregivers feel ashamed about them.
My only concern is that each and every child with a special need should be given attention to, as education plays an important role.
Try to understand your child and provide them with a 360 degree support by consulting those people who will be able to understand your child's needs and give you the opportunity to help your child in a better manner.
You all should first understand that what other people think about your child shouldn't be your concern, your concern should only be that your child is getting all the support which he/she needs, as education plays a vital role in everyone's life.
There are many institutions as well as schools who are ready to help your child in any manner, so please don't ignore your child who may need your support.
